Professional Accomplishments:

• Coordinate with Dr. Kevin Beadle, our Pediatric Dentist to help children and families learn to prevent decay and gum disease.
• Certified to provide x-rays and sealants to help identify and prevent tooth decay
• Coordinate with Dr. Hamal, our Periodontist to treat mild to advanced cases of gum disease to help people keep their teeth and avoid gum surgery.
• Help patients who have had gum surgery by providing a coordinated periodontal maintenance approach for all follow up visits.
• Whiten patient’s teeth – using white strips, in-office one visit whitening and take home tray methods.
• Coordinate with Dr. Khan to help patients with braces to keep their teeth and gums healthy during treatment.
• Coordinate visits with all our specialists and answer questions on any procedure a patient wants in dentistry – from implants to dentures, to hospital sedation for children, I work with our Pediatric Dentist, Orthodontist, Oral Surgeon and Periodontist extensively.

My Special Story:

After graduating from Miami University with a triple major in accounting, marketing and Spanish I started working at Pricewaterhouse Coopers, a major accounting firm in Cincinnati. For almost 2 years I performed audits and worked on financial statements – and although the work was challenging, I felt I was not making a difference in anyone’s life. So, I decided to go back to school to pursue my dream of working in dentistry. I now feel that being a dental hygienist is my calling, not just my work.

I think you will remember how sensitive my mouth is to pain and general procedures. I had a cleaning appointment with Laura today and I will tell you that it was the best experience I can remember in a dentists chair. She was thorough, pleasant in conversation and very cognizant of my “apprehensions”. A most pleasant experience and for me to make that claim is a biggie!!
I will definitely request her for my next appointment.
